Group Reporting Manager

We are seeking a Group Reporting Manager to join our Finance team, where caring is at the heart of everything we do. This role is integral to our mission of delivering exceptional care, respecting dignity, encouraging talents and interests, and ensuring life is lived to the fullest. As a Group Reporting Manager, you will produce accurate, timely financial reports and oversee the Management Accounts team, contributing to the success of our operations across almost 60 residential, nursing, and specialist care homes and domiciliary care operations.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Lead and manage the group reporting process, from consolidation to the production of final reports.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the Management Accounts team, providing guidance and coaching.
  • Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Consolidate financial statements for subsidiaries and the group.
  • Prepare management accounts and board reports.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external auditors.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the reporting process.
  • Manage financial reporting systems and controls.
  • Analyse financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead and coordinate the group budgeting process.
  • Ensure compliance with external stakeholder reporting requirements.
  • Carry out ad hoc tasks as directed by the Group Financial Controller and the Chief Finance Officer.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Group Reporting Manager or similar role.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (UK GAAP).
  • Strong understanding of group consolidation processes.
  • Experience with financial reporting software and systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
