Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for a number of Teaching Assistants to join a primary school in the borough of Greenwich - all these roles for Teaching Assistant will be paid at between £83.33 - £95 per day dependent on experience and length of time in role. We need all candidates applying to be either a proficient user of BSL or qualified to L2 or above.

For this position we're looking for a candidate that is hard working, caring and compassionate but with a firm and fair approach. You need to really understand the needs of the child you support, most children will be deaf or hard of hearing so its breaking down learning barriers to those children and giving them the communication skills required to be part of this inclusive school. You will also work with mainstream students to blend all students into the inclusive environment.

We are looking for:

  • This position to be filled ASAP so need interested candidates to apply NOW!
  • Candidates that are committed to full time work - 5 days a week minimum hours 8:30am-3:30pm
  • That know the challenges of 1:1 work but also the value of what they do and the rewards of supporting children with SEND in particular deaf students.

  • Qualifications in Supporting in Schools not essential but welcomed
  • To have worked with children within a school setting or other setting and be able to provide us a reference for this
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK
