Our client are looking for an Operations Co-Ordinator to join a fast-growing organisation in the procurement and logistics sector, renowned for its commitment to excellence and trusted relationships across global markets.
This is a unique opportunity to be at the heart of their operations team — a central pillar of the business that ensures smooth and timely delivery of client orders, supports internal departments, and fosters strong partnerships with service providers and customers alike.
You will work closely with the sales, marketing, and finance teams to manage orders from start to finish in line with contractual requirements, resolving any issues that arise to ensure the best service possible. You will also act as a key liaison for their diverse customer base, handling queries and managing logistics and service provider negotiations.
Location & Working Hours:
This is a full-time, office-based role located in Watford. Regular office hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm. Please ensure you can reliably commute to the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure purchase orders are processed by suppliers promptly.
- Expedite orders to reduce lead times and minimise delays.
- Obtain required documentation from suppliers or service providers.
- Keep clients informed, especially for urgent or high-value orders; complete external reporting where needed.
- Investigate and resolve issues flagged by customers, suppliers, or the warehouse.
- Raise purchase orders and initiate supply chain processes.
- Issue delivery notes, invoices, and certifications upon order completion.
- Coordinate collections with freight forwarders.
- Liaise with and manage third-party logistics providers.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Accounts, Sales, Warehouse) to progress and complete orders.
- Track logistics and provide clients with timely updates.
- Arrange hazardous packaging/crating through third parties when needed.
- Escalate ongoing issues to senior management promptly.
- Develop strong relationships with both suppliers and clients.
- Maintain internal KPI reports to monitor company performance.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Competent in computer use
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience in customer service and order processing.
- Skilled in handling phone/email communication and internal updates.
- Language skills in Spanish, French, or Brazilian Portuguese are a plus.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Investigative approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Proactive, adaptable, and confident team player with a desire to grow.
Salary:
£35k OTE
