Junior Acoustic Consultant

My client is an established consultancy specialising in acoustic engineering and noise control solutions. Their wide-ranging services encompass noise studies, acoustic design, and mitigation solutions. With a wealth of expertise in diverse specialisms including architecture, environmental engineering, surveying, and manufacturing, the firm is dedicated to delivering bespoke solutions to address the unique acoustic challenges of their clients.

This role is a remote position that requires the successful candidate to travel to different sites across the Midlands region when necessary. The candidate will conduct key surveys and assessments, and then compile all critical data into informative reports remotely.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in acoustic engineering or a related discipline.
  • Possession of a valid UK driver's license.
  • At least one year of practical experience in sound and noise surveys.
  • Membership in the Institute of Acoustics (IOA).
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate technical data from assessments to produce comprehensive and unambiguous technical reports.
  • Perform surveys and evaluations on noise and vibration using modelling software.
  • Foster effective communication and maintain relationships with key stakeholders throughout the project's lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of work and meet project deadlines.
