Job Title: IT Support & Network Technician
Location: Wirral
Job Type: Full-Time, in office
Salary: £22,000 - £26,000 DOE
Our client is a leading provider of digital integration. They are dedicated to delivering outstanding services to their nationwide client base, ensuring their connectivity, cloud and internet needs are met with efficiency and professionalism. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Support and Network Technician to join their collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line support for IT-related issues via phone, email, and remote assistance.
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network connectivity problems.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Occasional site visits for installs
- Provide basic training and support to end-users to improve their understanding of IT systems.
- Book engineers to allocated sites
- Set up engineer kits quickly and efficiently
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a 1st line support role or similar position.
- Strong understanding of networking principles and hands-on experience with network devices.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, etc.) are a plus.
