*HGV Technician Poole, Dorset**
My clients in Poole, Dorset is seeking a HGV Technician to join their team. As a HGV Technician in Poole, Dorset you will be required to work Monday - Friday and Saturdays on a rota basis (paid at overtime rate)
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs (Heavy Goods Vehicles) to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Diagnostics: Utilise diagnostic equipment to identify faults and issues in HGVs.
- Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used, repairs made, and time spent on each task.
- Emergency Repairs: Respond to breakdowns and perform emergency repairs on-site or in the workshop.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers to provide updates on vehicle status and repair time lines.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other technicians and team members to ensure efficient work flow and high-quality service.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar role.
- Certification: Relevant technical certifications or qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair).
- Licenses: Valid HGV driving license preferred but not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, and good communication skills.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of HGV systems and components, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems.
