Reporting to the Accounts Team Manager and Partners, and working in a team of assistant accountants and accountants, your responsibilities may include:
- Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
- Reconciling main control accounts, including month-end reviews
- Reviewing client entries and advising on corrections or efficiency improvements
- Preparing, reviewing, and filing VAT returns for various VAT schemes
- Liaising with clients, their staff, colleagues, and HMRC
- Providing training to clients on various packages and bookkeeping skills
- Working with clients on an ad hoc basis to resolve bookkeeping issues
- Undertaking projects with clients related to bookkeeping
You are likely to offer:
- AAT qualification, studying, or qualified by experience
- Experience in bookkeeping and VAT returns
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage and Xero
- Organisational skills and the ability to use your initiative
