Job Title: Housekeeper – Part Time Location: Croft Warrington Salary: £12.50-£13 per hour dependent on experience Monday to Friday / 09:00 – 14:00 or 09:30 – 14:30 Start date: ASAP
We are looking for a professional part time Housekeeper for a private household based in Croft Cheshire.
Providing support for a busy family, you will be responsible for the upkeep of a large 6 bedroom, 5 bathroom home. You will be passionate about delivering a high standard of care, be highly organised, loyal and carry out your duties with professionalism and trust.
Working as part of an established and lovely team which includes a nanny, stable staff and gardener. We are looking for a driver with access to their own vehicle who has experience as a housekeeper or in a similar role and the willingness and passion to create a welcoming home environment with high standards of cleanliness and care.
Housekeeper Responsibilities and Duties:
- Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures
- Cleaning woodwork
- Clearing fireplace
- Cleaning and sanitising toilets, showers / bathtubs, countertops and sinks
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen area including appliances
- Making beds and changing linens
- Cleaning windows
- Vacuuming and cleaning carpets and rugs
- Sweeping / vacuuming, polishing, and mopping/buffing hard floors
- Management of the laundry room with the responsibility of the household laundry and ironing, and be familiar with working with fine fabrics, silks and keeping curtain in excellent condition
- Dropping off and picking up dry cleaning
- Wardrobe organisation and management
- Dressing the home, ensuring it is tidy and ready for visitors; keeping the house spotless, clean, organised and tidy at all times
- Using any cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and other cleaning tools
- Keeping bathrooms stocked with clean towels, toiletries, and other supplies
- Cleaning mirrors and other glass surfaces
- Emptying rubbish and disposing of waste correctly
- Managing bins and recycling
- Tidying rooms
- Monitoring cleaning supplies and ordering more as needed
- Reporting any necessary repairs or replacements
- Food shopping when needed and helping cook if necessary
- Assisting with post, deliveries and groceries
- Notify of any maintenance issues and liaise with gardeners/handymen
- Holiday packing/unpacking
- Assisting with Christmas, Birthdays and special events – celebrations/parties; decorating the house, wrapping presents and having a hands-on approach to assisting all aspects of a smooth run celebration
- Assisting when the family entertain – e.g. dressing the dining room, setting tables
- Running Errands
- Willing to build a relationship with the children - 2 boys aged 14 and 9 and assist with them should it be necessary although there is a nanny as part of the team

The successful candidate will be somebody who is passionate about consistently achieving impeccable standards, wants to play an integral part in the household team and is focused on creating a lovely family home. This is a hands-on role and the family are looking for someone they can trust and who will be an extension of their family.
Please note: that whilst the home is pet-free, the house is situated on a farm and so you must not be allergic to rabbits, dogs or horses.
