Overview
Our returning and exclusive client, an industry leading Property Management firm based centrally in Birmingham, has ambitious growth plans in place and is looking to bolster their accounts function with the addition of a skilled and experienced Service Charge Accountant. The successful candidate will be joining a people focused function with an incredibly down to earth and supportive team. You will be tasked with efficiently completing service charge year ends by managing a challenging on-boarding process along side the rest of your client support.
The day to day in this role will look familiar for the experienced Service Charge professional we are looking for. You will be a numerate and confident individual working to complete SC cash recs, managing VAT, arrears and voids and working closely with the PM team and asset managers to establish working relationships.
Skills needed
- Due to the nature of the role it is essential to have exposure in service charges within the property sector.
- Be a calm and confident individual able to build rapport easily, as you will be often liaising with non-financial stakeholders.
- Be looking for progression as the business and team has been experiencing steady organic growth for years.
- Experience in undertaking detailed reconciliations from various accounts facets.
