SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant

  • **Providing comprehensive 1-2-1 support to a KS2 student with special educational needs.
  • **'Good' primary school.

Requirements:

  • At least a degree in psychology, or a related subject.
  • Dedication to the education and wellbeing of SEN students.
  • A welcoming and friendly personality and communication style.
  • A natural ability to form strong bonds with children.
  • Commitment to following safeguarding processes to protect the safety of pupils.
  • Previous experience of working alongside children, or in a school setting, is beneficial but not essential.

The Role

  • 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs across all areas of the syllabus.
  • Monitoring the pupil's progress and formulating support strategies.
  • Offering constructive feedback to improve the attainment and progress.
  • Working in close collaboration with teaching staff to adapt learning materials in accordance with individual's learning needs.
  • Creating strong bonds with both staff and pupils to ensure a positive learning environment.
