This iconic Birmingham based venue hosts a varied range of large-scale events such as conferences, dinners, weddings and meetings - with the opportunity to make events as bespoke as possible for both private and corporate clients.
Continually growing their portfolio, they have a broad base of interesting clients. The multi-purpose venue offers a versatile backdrop for a wide range of business, as well as having an exciting in-house event programme!
THE ROLE
With a growing number of events and clients, there is now the opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager to come onboard as part of the management team in delivering a successful events calendar.
This is a broad role that includes:
- Lead the team to drive business growth, maximising income and profitability for the venues
- Develop new commercial opportunities and improve revenue generation from conferences and events
- Working closely with the Managing Director to create the Business Plan, Sales and Marketing Plan and Annual Budgets
- Working closely with the Catering and Operations team
- Work in partnership with the Managing Director to ensure the selling prices, reflect the operational delivery costs to ensure that the profit expectations are delivered
- Lead the sales team in the day-to-day delivery of the sales and marketing plans, reporting on the monthly sales activity plans of team members
- Receiving and responding to incoming enquires into the venue
- Upselling the events space and offerings of the venue
- Strengthening and developing relationships
- Plan, organise and attend promotional and networking events
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will ideally have previous experience of working within an events venue from a sales and business development perspective. Previous team management or mentorship would be beneficial.
