Financial Crime Analyst (Contractor)

We are currently hiring an experienced Financial Crime Analyst, to join the team on a short term contract to assist with reviewing cases to determine the eligibility for a SAR disclosure, including writing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), determining Defense Against Money Laundering (DAML), and conducting transaction analysis and investigations.

What does the job involve?:

  • Act as a subject matter expert on financial crime and regulatory requirements.
  • Write and submit SARs to the relevant authorities.
  • Determine DAML and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct transaction analysis and investigations to identify potential financial crime.
  • Accurately document findings and outcomes of investigations.
  • Produce financial crime-related management information (MI).

Competence, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • A good understanding of financial crime and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in writing SARs and determining DAML.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build and maintain internal/external relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to take ownership of specific technical queries/issues through to resolution.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • A team player.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task across both team-oriented and individual tasks.

Day Rate - Up to £500pd
