Sitecore Developer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and skilled Sitecore Developer to join an innovative team based in the heart of Newcastle Upon Tyne. The preference is to be local so that you can spend some time in the office but the role has flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the UK too.

You must be eligible to work in the UK, sponsorship is not offered and due to the nature of the projects you will need to have been living in the UK for the last 3 years

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Craft and refine client websites, ensuring product functionality aligns with strategic plans and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with server-side developers to devise and implement technical solutions, adhering to project timelines.
  • Offer technical support to customers, addressing and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Implement industry best practices into your daily workflow and stay abreast of evolving technologies and trends.
  • Convert designs and wireframes into well-structured and accessible web templates.
  • Ensure dynamic web applications are compatible across various platforms and browsers.
  • Integrate server-side code to generate dynamic web content and manage version control with tools like GIT.

Commercial Skills & Experience:

  • Proficient in HTML, CSS (SASS), and JavaScript.
  • Experienced in back-end development with C# / ASP.NET MVC / ASP.NET Core MVC or JS/Node/Express.
  • Knowledgeable in JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, Node, TypeScript, Vue, or React.
  • Skilled in working with both relational databases and no-SQL platforms.
  • Committed to web standards, optimizing for performance, and ensuring accessibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to debug and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with a diverse team and client base.
  • Familiar with CMS platforms, preferably Sitecore.
  • Agile software development experience, with proficiency in Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • A continuous learner, dedicated to mastering new technologies and enhancing your skill set.
