Commercial Lawyer (1+ PQE)
Reading (Hybrid)
My client, a market-leading Top UK 100 international law firm, is looking for a In-House Commercial Lawyer to join their specialist in-house team based in Reading. This team works exclusively for a large utilities client, where they advise on an array of matters including (but not limited to) competition, construction, real estate and commercial contracts matters.
About the role
This role will give the successful Commercial Lawyer the opportunity to:
- Draft, re-structure and negotiate on commercial agreements and other legal documents, tailoring this to the client's needs;
- Provide astute legal advice to the client; delivering practical, creative and commercial solutions;
- Manage and mitigate against legal risk.
About you
The ideal Commercial Lawyer will be a U.K qualified lawyer with a minimum of one years' post qualification experience, either in private practice or in-house. You will also ideally have:
- Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating on a broad range of legal documents including current software licensing and software/infrastructure as a service models);
- Demonstrable experience of working with public procurement matters;
- A working knowledge of bonds and guarantees, contract disputes and corporate structures and procedures.
You will be able to manage your time effectively, manage and prioritise your workload independently, , and have strong communication skills. You will be able to commute to their Reading office twice a week on a hybrid basis.
