Senior HR Business Partner

My client, a global business services organisation with offices in the Gatwick area; is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to join them on a permanent, hybrid basis.

Reporting into the HR Director, duties include:

  • You will be a trusted advisor to the business, working closely with the operations senior leadership team to define and deliver our ambitious People agenda in alignment with our strategic objectives for the business.
  • Experience of working with Trade Unions is vital; this role will be instrumental in building and maintaining relationships with our recognised Trade Unions and will play a pivotal role in pay negotiations.
  • You will use data to provide intelligence, drive productivity and inform decision making. Your clear thinking about data and trends will help us lift standards and support of our drive for continuous improvement.
  • You will oversee sector specific Employee Relations matters, ensuring the provision of support and guidance on complex matters as appropriate.
  • As a member of the Senior HR Leadership team you will be a proactive team member and contribute to the development of HR policy, working processes and procedures, whilst ensuring best practice is adhered to at all times.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, delivering excellent results in a demanding and changing environment.
  • Have proven experience of working with Trades Unions. Building strong relationships with Trades Unions and clients, and the ability to lead negotiations and support operational directors in reaching and codifying agreements.
  • Have excellent knowledge of employment legislation.
  • Be confident with HR Data and Metrics and have strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Have a strong generalist HR background which includes management of TUPE, consultations and complex employee relations issues.
  • Have the proven ability to lead and develop an effective team
  • Be CIPD qualified, or equivalent by experience
