As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering a person-centred educational experience, fostering personal growth, and enhancing the lives of our learners.
Day to Day of the role:
- Work closely with other team members to create a positive and inclusive educational environment.
- Support the personal and educational development of each learner, tailoring your approach to their individual needs.
- Utilise your communication and interpersonal skills to build strong, trusting relationships with learners.
- Employ your IT and organisational skills to maintain records and contribute to the smooth running of the educational provision.
- Manage challenging behaviour with patience and understanding, ensuring a safe and supportive setting for learning.
- Assist with personal care tasks when necessary, respecting the dignity and independence of each learner.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Having access to your own car is essential as the site is very remote.
- Experience working with young people with learning difficulties, disabilities, or autism is desirable.
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or equivalent in supporting young people in education or care settings are desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Proficient IT skills and good organisational abilities are required.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour and support with personal care is necessary.
