About Us: We are a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) school based in Leckwith, Cardiff, dedicated to providing a supportive and structured environment for students who exhibit challenging behaviour. Our mission is to help every student achieve their full potential through tailored educational programs and support.

Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and adaptable Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, able to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our school, supporting both staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Administration: Manage daily administrative tasks including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and handling correspondence.
  • Student Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records, including attendance and behavioural reports.
  • Support Staff: Assist teaching and support staff with administrative needs, including preparing materials and scheduling meetings.
  • Communication: Act as a point of contact for parents, guardians, and external agencies, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Event Coordination: Help organize school events, meetings, and training sessions.
  • Office Management: Ensure the office is well-organized and supplies are stocked.

Qualifications:

  • Previous administrative experience is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A valid in date DBS check on the update service is mandatory.
