Job Description:

Our client is an International Freight Logistics and Express Courier Specialist based in Heywood in search of a Business Administrator.

Our client offers a great chance for a Business Administrator with an interest in IT to sink their teeth into a new role performing administrative duties and offering support across other departments, in particular, the Tech Team.

What you can expect:

  • Salary of £23,000-£24,000 (DOE)
  • Fully office based role
  • 35 Hours per week between 7am-7pm (Flexible)
  • 25 Days Holiday

Role Purpose:

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to fill the role of Business Administration Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation of business and support the team in achieving our goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to various departments within the company, including but not limited to, managing correspondence, communicating via email and telephone.
  • Use of IT skills to assist the Tech Team whenever needed.
  • Responsibility for credit control and operations administration.
  • Monitor and process supplier invoices and statements and liaise with suppliers on a range of issues.
  • Raise sales invoices and ensure timely dispatch.
  • Prepare statements and chase outstanding debts as-well as processing employee expenses.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the organization.
  • Ensure all client queries are seen to and actioned in a timely manner and before the deadline.
  • Maintain company vehicle records

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Outlook.
  • Sage knowledge desirable but not essential.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
