Bennett and Game has the pleasure of working with a reputable client based in Hertford, who are now seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their growing team. They are offering a salary of up to £28,000 as well as benefits such as 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, private health insurance, one day hybrid working after probationary period.
The role of the Accounts Assistant will be to assist with Credit Control, Sales Ledger, Sales Order Input as well as other adhoc duties. This role would be best suited to someone who is currently pursuing their AAT qualification who is keen to progress within a business.

Job Overview
- Proactively chase late/non-payments via telephone and email, turning outstanding debts into paid invoices.
- Onboard new customers and manage their accounts seamlessly.
- Issue pro-forma invoices and ensure monthly customer statements are timely and accurate.
- Retrieve missing Proof of Delivery (POD) documents and handle customer queries with finesse.
- Process sales orders efficiently on Sage, ensuring our sales pipeline is always up to date.
- Keep our accounts paperwork organized and easily accessible.
- Scan supplier invoices to our server for a seamless digital workflow.
- Take on various ad-hoc duties that make every day different and exciting.

- Experience working within a similar role previously is essential
- Sage 50 experience preferred.
- Working towards AAT qualification
