Job Title: IT Support Administrator
Salary: £30,000-£35,000
Location: Hitchin
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday - 9:00-17:00pm (occasional early shift 6am-2pm on a rota basis)
COMPANY PROFILE
As my client's business continues to grow, they are seeking a IT Support Administrator to join their team. This role requires you to be patient, adaptable and able to work well under pressure. You will need to have at least 4 years of experience in a IT role which covers the main areas of IT infrastructure support with a broad range of technical knowledge.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- At least 4 years experience within a IT support role
- GCSE in English, Maths & Science/IT C grade or above
- Excellent communication skills
- Technically and numerically minded
- Organised and efficient
- Able to work off your own initiative
- Multitasker
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and support client hardware, software, IT systems, and infrastructure.
- Provide reactive support, troubleshoot issues, and implement both short-term fixes and long-term solutions.
- Configure, onboard, and reprovision devices for clients, including setting up new IT environments.
- Administer cloud services such as Active Directory, Azure, and Office 365.
- Perform proactive system maintenance, server backups, and recovery operations after outages.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and team members while keeping documentation and tickets updated.
- Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users and provide regular status updates.
- Visit client sites for unresolved issues and assist with technical implementation projects.
