Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious QA Manager to join their business.
Reporting into the Technical Manager, this role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Meetings: Attend meetings with departmental managers to relay QA/PC team issues and updates.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments for product QA holds and primary assessment of other issues, escalating to the Technical Manager as needed.
- Team Development: Support the Technical Manager in building, developing, and motivating the Technical team.
- Empowerment: Empower the Technical QA team to become custodians of food safety and quality on site.
- Compliance Advising: Advise colleagues to educate and assist in complying with company requirements.
- Training Management: Develop and manage the completion of required training and briefings.
- Food Safety Culture: Support the Technical Manager in improving food safety, compliance, and quality culture, ensuring the site is always audit-ready.
- Quality Issue Resolution: Work proactively with the operations team to resolve quality issues and reduce non-conformances and rejections from retail and B2B customers.
