Position: Head Chef
Salary: £44,119.96

Randstad CPE is currently recruiting for a reputable client for an exciting new opportunity as a Head Chef in Cambridge.
As the Head Chef, you will be instrumental in leading and managing the culinary operations at our client's social hub, ensuring top-notch food service across multiple outlets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the culinary team to meet KPI and Modern Recipe standards.
- Oversee both front and back of house culinary operations, ensuring adherence to company standards.
- Deliver exceptional meals and catering services.
About the Role:
The café/restaurant will accommodate 120 people and operate during the following hours:
- Monday to Friday: 7am - 8pm
- Saturday: 8am - 4pm
- Sunday: 10am - 4pm
Your immediate team structure includes:
- Head Chef
- 2 x Chef de Partie
- 1 x Weekend Chef
The service style will be à la carte, featuring items like bagels, salads, and small plates, not buffet style. The restaurant will serve both the 4,000 workers on site and the public.
Experience and Knowledge Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing and leading kitchen teams for both à la carte and event services.
- Expertise in recipe development, food costing, and managing gross profit (GP).
- Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
- Ability to effectively lead culinary operations and drive culinary innovation.
- Customer-focused with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiar with culinary standards and compliance requirements.
- Relevant qualifications/training required.
- DBS check required.
