Verus Recruitment is proud to be working with a leading aerospace manufacturer in South Sheffield to find a dedicated Labourer to join their team.

Role Overview

As a Labourer, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the site, ensuring it meets health and safety standards and remains fully operational in line with the company's commitments to its customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure waste is properly segregated and disposed of.
• Maintain clean and safe gangways, promptly addressing hazards.
• Support operations by removing waste from machines, such as sumps.
• Handle spill clean-ups to prevent accidents and safeguard employee safety.
• Keep building exteriors and pedestrian areas clear of debris and hazards.
• Transport materials using the company forklift truck.
• Adhere to company and departmental policies, particularly regarding safety.
• Report punctually, follow supervisor instructions, and collaborate well with colleagues.
• Carry out assigned tasks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, such as painting machines, floors, and ceilings.

What We're Looking For

:

• Experience operating a forklift truck.
• Ability to follow work instructions and maintain safe working practices.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• A positive attitude with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts if required.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
