This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting the practical delivery of science lessons, ensuring students have the resources they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and setting up laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics)
- Assisting teachers with practical demonstrations and experiments
- Ensuring the safe storage and handling of chemicals and equipment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of laboratories and preparation areas
- Supporting students during practical activities when required
- Managing stock levels and ordering supplies
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Science Technician or in a laboratory setting (school experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of health and safety protocols in a lab environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A passion for science and a commitment to supporting student learning
