We are seeking an experienced Banking Solicitor to join our client's dynamic Banking & Finance team in their London office, part of the Corporate & Commercial National Service Line (NSL).
About the Role
- Following the recent announcement of a dedicated banking & finance practice in Manchester, this position offers a unique opportunity for a Senior Lawyer to contribute to the growth and success of this new practice.
- You will work closely with a Banking & Finance Partner based in Manchester, and collaborate with the entire team of banking partners.
Responsibilities
- Advise banks, lenders, fund managers, and other corporate and institutional clients (both borrowers and lenders) on various finance and security issues. This includes asset-based lending, leveraged finance, corporate lending and borrowing, real estate finance, government finance, bonds, and capital markets.
- Provide support for the corporate team on funding issues in capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and collaborate with the commercial and real estate departments on funding issues in M&A work, portfolio property re-finances, and more.
- Draft and prepare various transaction-related documents.
- Actively participate in marketing efforts to new and existing clients, and develop and sustain direct client relationships.
Required Experience
- 6+ years PQE with experience in a firm renowned for banking and finance work.
- Your experience should be substantially or wholly in the banking and finance sector.
- Technically strong with excellent drafting skills in written English
- Good time and file management skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and potential clients
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to project manage and lead a team
