Electrical Installation Lecturer

I am currently on the lookout for several Electrical Installation Lecturers to join an FE College based at their Campus in South West Hertfordshire. The role is open to qualified Lecturers as well as anyone straight from industry looking to make the move in to a training role, these candidates will be put through their teaching qualifications alongside training fully funded by the College.

The Role:

As an Electrical Installation Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in our Electrical Installation program. You will develop content and implement effective teaching strategies, develop curriculum materials, and provide mentorship and support to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lectures and practical sessions in Electrical Installation.
  • Develop content and KPI's
  • Update and maintain curriculum materials and course outlines.
  • Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and practical assessments.
  • Marking and tracking
  • Manage student absences as required
  • Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the electrical industry.
  • A recognized qualification in Electrical Installation (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed) or willingness to work towards one.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

  • Previous teaching or training experience in a further education or vocational setting.
  • Recognised Teaching Qualification.
