- *Job Summary:**
As a Warehouse Operative with FLT, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our warehouse facility. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods using a Forklift Truck, as well as performing various warehouse tasks to ensure the smooth flow of products through our distribution center.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Forklift Operation:** Safely operate a Forklift Truck to load, unload, and transport materials and products within the warehouse.
2. **Stock Management:** Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock checks and cycle counting as needed.
3. **Order Picking:** Efficiently pick and pack customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
4. **Receiving:** Receive incoming shipments, inspect goods for damage, and verify quantities against purchase orders.
5. **Shipping:** Prepare outgoing shipments, including proper labeling, packaging, and loading onto delivery vehicles.
6. **Quality Control:** Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet company standards.
7. **Safety:** Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the safe storage of materials and the proper handling of hazardous substances.
8. **Cleanliness:** Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including sweeping, stacking, and disposing of waste materials.
9. **Documentation:** Complete necessary paperwork and record-keeping related to warehouse activities.
10. **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with other team members to meet operational goals and assist in other warehouse tasks as needed.
- *Qualifications:**
- Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) license and experience operating forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
