Job Title: Purchase Ledger Clerk

Location: Bridgend area
Salary: up to £23,000 doe
Contract Type: Full-Time contract for 6 months

Hours: 37.5 hour per week with flexible working hours (full or part time)

Môrwell Talent Solutions is delighted to be recruiting for a well-known business in the Bridgend area. My client is a vibrant growing company, who is looking for a meticulous and enthusiastic Purchase Ledger Clerk to join its friendly finance team.

The Role:

Reporting in the Finance Manager, the Purchase Ledger Clerk will play a key role in the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring that supplier relationships are nurtured and that accounts are kept in impeccable order. Your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy will make you a vital part of my client's team.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Administration of the Purchase Ledger
  • Keying and matching of supplier invoices
  • Reconciling of supplier statements
  • Updating supplier records
  • Making / posting supplier payments
  • Petty cash management and reconciliation
  • Other ad hoc finance duties as requested

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a purchase ledger role or similar.
  • AAT qualifications would be advantageous
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent numerical skills and a methodical approach to work.

My client operates a flexible working policy after successful passing of probation / training with up to 2 days WFH allowed.
