Team / division overview

DWS TP(R)M covers 23 countries and more than 14 risk types. As regulatory regimes continue to evolve and new regulations and laws get introduced, Third Party Management organisation acts as a TPRM framework guardian ensuring its control environment stays up-to-date and compliant with laws and regulations.

The role combines elements of framework change management, process optimisation as well as overseeing a central team of operational analysts (Service Relationship Owner Delegates aka SRO-Delegates) providing expert third party risk assessment support to DWS business divisions. Part of the team also performs regulatory required screening.

The role provides a unique opportunity to work across relevant Risk SME groups as well as DWS business divisions where TPM acts as a valued business partner in the areas of new third party risk assessment and outsourcing management. You will be reporting to the Head of Third Party Management and supported by the knowledgeable and experienced group of Risk SMEs with risk domain related guidance.

Role Details:

As a Procurement Manager you will (be):

  • Lead a team of SRO-Delegates, screening analysts and framework and regulatory change manager.
  • Provide inspirational and supportive leadership to create high delivery culture that motivates productivity within the team.
  • Be responsible for the team's development, delivery, and operational excellence and effectiveness by consistently scanning and assessing for improvements and automation.
  • Understand TPM process and key stakeholder groups, i.e. third parties, risk SMEs, business SROs, COOs and DCOs among others.
  • Act as a business partner for DWS Divisions and position the team accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the Divisional COOs and DCOs to drive effective third party portfolio assessment in a timely manner.
  • Be the central point of contact for functional change leads and coordinating actions with internal stakeholders as well as external providers.
  • Coordinate the initial gap analysis and impact assessment to classify if the changes required are related to process or platform/technology updates.
  • Translate business requirements into technical build deliverables with ProcessUnity.
  • Work with relevant Risk SMEs in understanding their requirements and implementing required changes in TPM process/platform and work with TPM team on updating key documentation.
  • Develop key milestone planning and work with the key contributors to ensure agreed actions are tracked, well documented, and reported to management or governance structures.
  • Report to the Head of TPM on progress and hold a leadership role in driving regular stakeholder progress update meetings.
  • Contribute to creating a strong culture of risk ownership and management.

We are looking for:

  • Experienced in managing mid to large size teams
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to work with multiple priorities
  • Ability to provide inspirational leadership and create high delivery culture
  • Ability to develop the team and create the sense of direction, purpose and strong organizational belonging
  • Ability to provide efficient and stable operational support with appropriate planning and distribution of tasks within the team
  • Ability to apply a solution based approach to arising problems, proactively search for resolutions through cross-functional networking
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and networking capabilities
  • Experience in Third Party E2E operational management from third party onboarding to service go live/exit or termination
  • Experience in working with technology platforms and overseeing change management and business requirements
  • Good presentation skills
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Office and ProcessUnity is a bonus
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify synergies among regulatory changes (i.e. potential overlap between DORA, KAIT and Operational Resilience).
  • Fluent in English, working knowledge of German is a bonus.
