The Project Engineer will be instrumental in managing and executing key Mechanical improvements and equipment implementation within a Chemical Manufacturing site.

Description

As the Project Engineer you will be tasked with the following;

  • You will work to deliver on small to medium capital projects to drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Plant Capacity and Operational Efficiency.
  • Support all phases of the projects including feasibility, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover in conjunction with timeline and budget.
  • Projects will be predominantly chemical process orientated on a high hazard plant but may also include infrastructure and utility upgrades.
  • Support department initiatives to drive improvements in our standards and ways of working on capital projects.
  • Support Cross functionally with the likes of; Production engineers, Maintenance, and other plant functions when needed, for both capital and non-capital improvements.
  • Participate in various SHEQ initiatives and be part of our Safety-First culture.
  • Ensure capital projects are compliant with applicable regulations and standards including process and functional safety.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement programs to help achieve business targets.

Profile

A successful Project Engineer should have:

  • Degree in a Chemical or Mechanical Engineering discipline or a similar relevant qualification
  • Demonstrable success in managing capital projects in a manufacturing, process or production environments.
  • Excellent technical and engineering skills, communication skills including leading group meetings, and supervising/managing project teams of all fields including contractors.

Job Offer

  • A competitive salary of £60,300 per annum
  • Up to 18% overall Pension
  • Performance related bonus scheme
  • Hours - 08:30 - 16:30 Monday to Friday
  • Sick Pay (Full Pay for first 6 months from day 1)
  • 27 days holiday + bank holidays.
