ARM are delighted to be supporting on of our clients with the recruitment of a Procurement Manager on a 6 month basis.
This role is an exciting opportunity to lead on the procurement activities required to deliver a range of capital projects and deliver value for money for the business.
The Role:
- Negotiate, deliver and communicate contract and framework agreements which deliver efficiencies in line with financial reporting and forecasting systems.
- Manage contract negotiations, including the formulation of negotiation parameters, analysis and interpretation of data.
- Identify, forecast, evaluate, monitor and record savings achieved against budgets.
- Improve the efficiency and reduce costs of the procurement process by participating in the re-engineering of business processes/ procedures.
- Approve and implement procurement strategies.
- Lead or contribute to the development of departmental business plans and projects, and process improvement workstreams.
Requirements:
- Experience managing end to end procurements, and in particular construction, capital projects and/or maintenance related procurement.
- Experience in developing commercial / procurement strategies and the front-end activities required to support these such as market engagement
- Experience in preparing, reviewing and agreeing contract terms and conditions and contract schedules.
- Proven experience in a procurement function involved in high risk, high value, complex works and services.
- Experience using the New Engineering Contract (NEC) suite.
- Experience in commercial negotiations.
