Mechanical Engineer (Graduate)

We are looking for graduate mechanical engineers with a provable passion for product development.

This role offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects, from popular consumer products to safety-critical devices, knowing that with your input you can make a real difference to people's lives.

In our multi-disciplinary project teams our mechanical engineers collaborate closely with designers, electronics engineers, software engineers and other specialist teams to combine the visual and functional aspects of a product to create class-leading designs. It's rewarding to see the products you've contributed to appear on TV!

Expectations

  • Creative problem-solver who can develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
  • Ability to combine academic ability with a strong engineering intuition and a deep interest in product development.
  • Quick learner who enjoys learning new skills very quickly in a dynamic, consultancy environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ownership your technical design work, with support and guidance from experienced engineers and established checking procedures.
  • A positive, hardworking individual who is proud of their work daily.

Requirements

  • A 1st or Upper 2nd degree in mechanical engineering from a university known for its strong engineering programmes, or an equivalent comprehensive technical qualification.
  • Relevant work experience and university design projects are advantageous, whilst direct experience in product design is not mandatory.
  • You must have the right to work in the UK.
  • We look for someone who leads by example, setting high standards and demonstrating a "can do" attitude that motivates colleagues.

  • £30,000 with paid overtime at pay and a half.
  • 22 days holiday + (extra days for long service up to 32 days).
