Avanti Recruitment is currently working with an award-winning digital agency based in Newcastle, that is on the lookout for a Java Fullstack Developer to join their team on a permanent basis.
This role is an office based position where you will be required on-site 5 days per week. You will be joining a team of around 40 and will be working with some of the most ambitious clients from around the UK and will be designing and building market leading web, mobile and bespoke digital applications for them.
You will be working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplined team and will be the type of person who likes to take ownership of the delivery of projects. This role will be a fully hands on position working across the full SDLC, you will be focussed on the backend in Java but will have exposure to the front-end.
You'll find yourself joining collaborative team, who get involved in tech talks, hack nights, internal workshops and demonstrations. The company focus on career progression so should you wish to grow into a Senior then this could be the kind of role for you.
Essential Skills:
- Java MVC experience (2+ years of commercial experience)
- Strong understanding of OOP
- Experience with front-end (Ideally Angular or Vue, experience with JavaScript/ TypeScript/React is fine)
- MySQL or similar database experience
Desirable:
- Vue.JS / Angular experience would be highly beneficial
- Hibernate or similar ORM exposure
- Play Framework
- C#
- SASS / LESS
