Asset and Hire Coordinator

We have an exciting Asset & Hire Coordinator role available at a lovely SME based in Uxbridge. The role will be to support the Warehouse Manager and Hire Manager with all the administrative aspects of their asset management including equipment hires, projects, tests and inspections. Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to); -
- Maintaining stock figures in the system through entering rolling stock check data
- Logging test and inspection report data
- Reconciling inventory anomalies and tracking/recovering missing items and sub-hire returns
- Play a significant role in the roll-out of the proposed asset barcoding initiative
- Answering incoming calls for hires from clients, checking equipment availability, generating and issuing quotations in the absence of the Hire Manager
- Enter equipment list for hires into the system
- Monitoring and reporting equipment availability clashes and operational pinch points for equipment preparation
- Assist in sourcing of sub-hire equipment
- Managing the receipt of incoming inventory purchases
- Develop and maintain good commercial relationships with both suppliers and clients
- Proactively look at test and inspection deadlines and assisting the Warehouse Manager in keeping the assets in test and available to hire
- Ad-hoc duties requested by the line manager or delegated from within the team The perfect candidate would have; - The Candidate needs to have:
- Excellent communicator both written and verbal – proficient in English and Maths
- Thorough, diligent, reliable and tenacious
- Excellent MS office skills particularly Excel
- Ability to take and give instructions to ensure processes are adhered to
- Be able to forward plan and manage time effectively
- Strong administration skills and attention to detail
- Efficient and organised
