My client are looking for a Corporate Programme Manager to act as their technical and administrative leader for capital projects and minor works. This role involves managing performance measures, interpreting data for management information, and ensuring value for money in procurement for the corporate estate, particularly within the Children & Young People programme.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage and monitor performance for current and future capital projects and minor works.
  • Develop and manage a Programme Risk Register with professional service partners.
  • Take a leading role in liaising with Procurement teams and own team for project discussions.
  • Act as the key client in the management of capital projects and minor works.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all services commissioning works and projects.
  • Assist in policy, process, and procedure development and review for continuous improvement.
  • Identify best practices for service delivery that ensure customer satisfaction and value for money.
  • Deputise for the Senior Programme Manager as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree level education in a relevant field (e.g., Architecture, Project Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying).
  • Full membership of a construction-related professional organisation (e.g., APM, ARB, CIOB, RIBA, RICS) is desirable.
  • PRINCE2 Project Management or equivalent is desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of programme and project management techniques, including performance and risk management.
  • Understanding of local government framework, governance, and key issues facing public services.
  • Experience in managing strategic and long-term capital building programmes.
  • Experience with Schools Capital Programme delivery.
  • Proven track record in construction programme and project management within a large, diverse organisation.
  • Competency in MS Office and other relevant IT packages.
