Hybrid: 2 days in office (Bank, London)

Starting Salary Package: £25,000 - £35,000 + Benefits

You will be supporting the Partner of a growing Wealth Management Practice within St. James's Place, the largest Wealth Management organisation in the UK.

Over the course of 1-3 years (depending on existing experience) you will be learning how to run every support function of the business, with a view to passing exams to go into either senior paraplanning or advising in the future, depending on preference.

This is a great opportunity for someone to learn about supporting the Partner in the Wealth Management industry from the ground up and build their skills and knowledge of all systems and processes involved behind the scenes.
The Practice has a lot of clients in technology, the creative industries and also in the entertainment industry. It therefore has a less corporate and more down to earth approach than some other wealth management practices.

The Role: Wealth Management Support

  • Processing new business from start to finish
  • Using salesforce & all back-office systems
  • Ensuring the annual client review process is fully compliant
  • Keeping up to date with internal technology and regulatory changes
  • Liaising with Head Office and Compliance departments
  • Handling the letter of authority process with external providers
  • Handling client requests such as withdrawals or pausing monthly contributions
  • Keeping clients' information up to date and organised
  • Using financial planning software
  • Training will be provided on technical paraplanning tasks such as: ISA and pension suitability letters, Top up suitability letters, CYC calculators, Basic pension transfer suitability letters

The Person: Wealth Management Support

To be considered for this role you will need:

  • A good level of education, ideally with qualifications in finance, business administration, or a related discipline
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Be able to problem solve and work independently
  • Be able to learn quickly on the job using training resources
  • Great time management
  • Be highly productive in a working from home and office environment, with a great work ethic
  • Passionate and dedicated to learning as much as possible to advance your career in wealth management
  • Have a passion for excellent client service
  • Be highly organised and able to manage lots of tasks at once
  • Motivated to be the best you can be and dedicated to professional development
  • Thrive in process driven environments
  • Preferably SJP experience, but not necessary if the other fundamentals are excellent.
