Contract Manager

AWE have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Manager to carry out post contract management for partner contracts relating to construction and infrastructure, to ensure that the objectives of AWE are met in spirit.

As the Contract Manager you will understand the requirements of capital contracts, frameworks and agreements that the Business entered into and advise on how to get the most favourable outcomes for AWE, that put delivery to time, cost and quality at the centre.

We are ideally seeking individuals with experience in public sector procurement / contract management, who have public procurement regulations knowledge. You will have an understanding of the end to end procurement process and a awareness or willingness to train on CEMAR for NEC Contract administration.
From a Professional Services background, supporting senior contract managers with commercial contract management - administration, mobilisation, reporting, calls offs, change orders, task orders.

To ensure success as a Contracts Manager, you should have previous experience defining NEC 4 and/or CCS contract terms. Managing partner contracts, agreeing work orders and liaising with stakeholders. You will have an in-depth understanding of business requirements for the assigned areas and will be motivated to drive value for money, applying industry leading contract management techniques to mitigate commercial risk.

Other duties and responsibilities of the Contract Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with Suppliers
  • Understanding the requirements, duties and obligations of AWE under contracts to ensure alignment with the Business' goals and the industry regulations
  • Monitoring the implementation and performance of KPI's
  • Obtaining the appropriate governance approvals
  • Managing and mitigating risks
  • Creating meaningful relationships with Stakeholders

Package: from £46,000 to £60,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)
