We are seeking a Deputy Director of Learning - Art to join our outstanding team at a faith-based secondary school for girls. The school has an exceptional reputation for academic excellence and leadership development. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a passion for education and the ability to inspire and lead in the Art department.
Day to Day of the role:
- Develop and implement an engaging and challenging curriculum that caters to all learners.
- Lead and manage the Art department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning are maintained.
- Coach and mentor colleagues to achieve individual and collective targets.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning within the Art department.
- Contribute to the school's strategic planning and self-evaluation processes.
- Foster an environment that encourages creative expression and appreciation for the arts.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
- Ability to teach Art to GCSE standard.
- Proven track record of improving standards and raising pupil outcomes.
- Experience in coaching and motivating colleagues.
- Demonstrated sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.
- Innovative and creative approach to engaging, enthusing, and progressing learners.
