South Bank Colleges are looking for a highly motivated and energetic T-Level Work Placement Officer, with experience of working across curriculum areas, such as Health & Science, Digital Media, Engineering, Construction, Early Years and Education. You will be required to source potential work placement opportunities within these industries and ensure that the T-Level students have the skills required to access future jobs in their chosen career paths. The placements are a mandatory component of the T-Level qualification, therefore, to successfully ensure that students complete their placements, you will have strong knowledge about the T-Level structure and the Government guidelines around industry placements.

This role is responsible for developing, brokering and maintaining strong relationships between employers and all stakeholders ensuring that all placements' checks are carried through diligently, such as Health & Safety, Risk assessments and quality assurance, certifying that students are in safe working environments that will enhance and link their theory classroom learning to technical industry standards.

The postholder will work in collaboration with the T-Level lead, Curriculum Heads and teachers to develop opportunities and support the delivery of the curriculum course outputs in relation to work/industry placements. You will also work with Student Services and all teams within the College group to support the college's employability agenda. You will be responsible for developing T-Level activity and placement offers across the College and widen accessibility by working directly with employers to identify current and pipeline demand. Bringing together awarding organisations and employers to support the implementation of T-Levels.

You will co-ordinate and deliver employer ‘pitch' events and career related activities where students can access information about work placements, internship opportunities, further training, and incubation support. You will have the skills to build strong rapport with students and encourage them to participate in their own student journeys and develop skills by attending events and networking with employers.

The postholder will monitor all placements and career related activities appropriately and ensure that students and parents are aware of placement requirements and that students attend and complete their placement hours as well as log their placement experience via the student portal. We are looking for a clear communicator with an excellent eye for detail, who can offer exceptional customer service to all employers and students whilst ensuring compliance within T-Level regulations. You will need to enjoy solving problems quickly and implementing solutions in a fastpaced environment.

Working efficiently and flexibly, this role plays a key part in the delivery of an excellent student experience, where you are empowered to make a difference and achieve results.
