Legal Cashier/Executive

We are seeking an experienced Legal Cashier/Executive to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for maintaining our financial integrity and ensuring compliance with the SRA Accounts Rules. Day-to-day of the role:
- Process client and office account transactions, including receipts, payments, and transfers.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with SRA Accounts Rules.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other financial reports as required.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
- Liaise with fee earners and support staff to ensure efficient financial operations.
- Handle queries related to financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Responsibility for processing TT and BACS payments.
- Liaise with clients, solicitors, and other departments to resolve any discrepancies or queries related to payments.
- Maintain an organised filing system for financial documents and records.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Legal Cashier or in a similar role within a law firm.
- Strong knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules and legal accounting practices.
- Proficiency in legal accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
