Fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Manager to join this marketing leading, highly successful and dynamic business in Watford, Hertfordshire.

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Professional to lead a stable team and play a key role in supporting the strategic growth of the payroll department as the business grows from strength to strength.

What are we looking for:

  • Must have previous experience of leading and mentoring a team.
  • Must have at least 5 years UK Payroll experience.
  • Must have end to end payroll experience / technical payroll knowledge.
  • Must have experience of multiple payrolls, ideally across multiple entities and must have operated medium to large sized payrolls i.e. 1000 employee's plus.
  • Whilst not a necessity due to the location of the office the applicant is highly likely to have a full UK driver's and access to a car. (Don't worry Free Parking!)
  • Previous experience of payroll projects / improvements etc..
  • Experience of working with accounts around reporting, balance sheet, nominal ledger etc...

More Details about the role:

  • Develop the strategic direction of the payroll department working with key internal stakeholder and external service providers / consultants
  • Lead and develop a happy and high performing payroll department ensuring the team is equipped with the required training, development and resources to deliver 'best-in class' payroll services to the wider business.
  • Business partner key stakeholders across the group ensuring key performance metrics are measured, successfully delivered and reviewed for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Instil best practice and a customer service culture across the team so that the team takes pride in the service they provide and are recognised accordingly.
  • Mange key payroll enhancement projects ensuring key stakeholders are fully informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
