Renewals Consultant - Property

Location: Reading

£26,000 to £27,000 depending on experience

Currently working in lettings, property administration or customer service with an interest to join a Build to Rent sector property sector?

I am working closely with a highly regarded BTR provider, who are looking to hire a Renewals Consultant due to their expanding portfolio. You will assist the Lettings team in all matters relating to the prompt and appropriate letting of properties and liaise with the tenants and property management team to address any concerns or requests related to lease renewals

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively engage with tenants nearing the end of their lease agreements to discuss renewal options and negotiate terms
  • Prepare and send lease renewal notices in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Liaise with the tenants and property management team to address any concerns or requests related to lease renewals
  • Update and maintain accurate records of lease renewal agreements and mid-tenancy rent reviews
  • Monitor rental market trends, feedback from the lettings team and advise management on pricing strategies and lease terms
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Stay informed about relevant legislation and industry best practices related to lease renewals and tenant rights

Desired experience:

  • Previous experience in lettings, property management, or customer service roles preferred
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and handle difficult conversations diplomatically
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software
  • Knowledge of landlord-tenant laws and regulations, particularly related to lease agreements and renewals
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service to residents
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines
  • A strict adherence to confidentiality regarding all forms of information and data.
