Clinic Receptionist

I am pleased to be working with a prestigious Birchwood-based client, who are one of the UK's fastest-growing Health & Wellbeing companies, who are currently searching for an experienced Clinic Receptionist to join their brand-new Birchwood location! This a full-time, permanent position.

Role Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for all on-site elements of the patient journey. They will be responsible for managing patient bookings, meeting and greeting patients, and ensuring all of their on-site needs are met. They will be responsible for on-site of checks of each patient area, ensuring stock is ordered and replenished and each room is kept clean and tidy in-between patient visits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all elements of the on-site patient journey
  • Meeting and greeting all patients and chaperones when they arrive to site, offering refreshments
  • Ensure all patients have accommodation and return travel booked through the PM team, rectifying any issues as and when they arise
  • Managing the clinic schedule, maximising efficiency and minimising patient wait times in between procedures
  • Call and confirm patients the day before their appointment to confirm attendance
  • General maintenance and upkeep of patient areas, ensuring each room is kept clean and tidy in-between patient visits
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained for each patient room, ordering new stock as necessary
  • Managing incoming post, ensuring post is promptly forwarded on to relevant department
  • General ad hoc administrative duties around the clinic when required

Specification:

  • A background within a similar Medical/Dental/NHS role is preferred
  • A people person: someone who can effectively communicate details of procedures and answer patient questions in a respectful and passionate demeanour
  • Previous experience working within a Medical/Dental/NHS front desk role would be beneficial
  • Competent computer skills, with a particular focus on MS Office Package including SharePoint
  • Confident in using WhatsApp to communicate
  • A willingness to learn new skills and processes
  • Diary and appointment management experience is essential
