Healthcare Assistant

The Healthcare Assistant (HCA) is responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare services directly to people's homes. This role is crucial in managing complex emotional needs, including behaviour that challenges and personality disorders, ensuring care is both effective and reflective of Nurseline Community Services' values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide mobility support, including basic moving and handling.
  • Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature and pulse.
  • Help with meal preparation, nutrition, hydration, and maintaining a clean environment.
  • Offer companionship, emotional support, and, when needed, financial assistance.
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate documentation and records.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • One year of previous experience in healthcare settings, in community or home-based care.
  • Experience managing complex health needs, focusing on mental health and working with diverse populations.
  • Driving license is essential for community work and transport of the people we support.
  • PMVA training is required.
