Procurement Manager – £38,000 - £45,000 per annum – Poole, Dorset.

The Role

Do you have the negotiating skills to secure the best deals from suppliers? Can you effectively manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

We are a marine engineering company and distributor and dealer of quality brands, looking to appoint an experienced Procurement Manager to our growing team.

You will play a pivotal role in securing the best possible deals for a diverse range of products and services across our group of companies. This encompasses everything from essential engineering components to marketing services and waste management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement process for a wide variety of direct and indirect materials, ensuring best value for money.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving strategies across the group.
  • Source, evaluate and negotiate contracts with new and existing suppliers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Oversee all aspects of the procurement cycle, including order placement, delivery and invoice processing.
  • Analyse market trends and identify potential cost savings opportunities.

The Person

  • Proven experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
