Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a SEN Primary School based in Barnet starting immediately. This is a full time, long-term role for the full academic year with a potential to go permanent upon review. The daily rate for the position will be between £80 to £90 PAYE dependant on experience.
The School:
The Primary SEN School is 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated providing high quality education for students aged between 2 to 11 years old. The school specialise in educating students with severe and/or profound learning disabilities. Many students have additional needs including Autism and Speech, Language and Communication needs. The school consists of up to 60 students with all students holding an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school is easily accessible by public transport and has free parking on site and on local roads.
The Position:
You will be working as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a mixed KS1 class supporting different students on a 1:1 basis with Autism and/or profound learning difficulties. You will be aiding the students academically while tending to their personal needs including feeding, toileting and changing when needed. This is a full time position, 5 days a week from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:
- Hold previous experience working within SEN
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
- Legal right to work in the UK
