Tax Senior
Barnet, North London (2 days per week in office)
Up to £55,000 per annum
The Role:
As a Senior in our client's Tax Department, you'll be the linchpin for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, companies, and their directors. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring top-notch client service and accurate tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Liaison: Serve as the primary contact for clients, delivering exceptional service and building strong relationships.
- Compliance Management: Oversee and prepare tax compliance work for personal and corporate clients, including Corporation Tax Returns, Personal Tax Returns, Trust and Estate Returns, and P11D forms.
- Leadership: Provide guidance, supervision, and training to junior staff, fostering their development and growth.
- Technical Expertise: Stay updated with the latest tax legislation and technical knowledge through continuous learning and professional development.
- Tax Planning: Assist with tax planning projects involving capital gains tax, residence and domicile issues, trusts, and more.
- Technical Assignments: Collaborate with partners on complex, one-off technical assignments for new and existing clients.
- Enquiries Handling: Act as the initial point of contact for tax and VAT queries, providing expert advice and solutions.
Skills & Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in a mixed tax role.
- ATT or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong technical knowledge and practical application of tax legislation. Familiarity with Iris tax products is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven track record in client management.
