Role: IT Systems Engineer
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Setup: Hybrid - 2/3 days in office
Salary: Up to £50,000 DOE

Overview:
My client is looking for a standout IT Systems Engineer who can use top solutions to provide excellent support to users everywhere. You'll identify areas for improvement, maintain operational resilience, and assist in our growth.
Responsibilities:
- Install and manage Lab (FPGA) and Data Centre solutions
- Administer servers and storage
- Provide 3rd line support to the global Service Delivery team
- Configure and manage Microsoft 365 tenants
- Handle authentication and application management
- Manage our Cloud presence
- Test and improve user experiences
Requirements:
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows (server, desktop, dual-boot)
- OS and application patching / WSUS
- Systems monitoring - Grafana / Zabbix
- Physical system setup skills
- Hands-on engineering skills: soldering, using scopes, testbenches, etc.
- Experience with M365/O365
- Active Directory and/or Azure management
- Basic network support knowledge - DHCP, DNS, routing, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange Hybrid environments
- Backup or DR experience, preferably with Commvault
Nice to Have:
- ITIL qualification
- Data Centre and/or ESD Lab experience
- Experience with an international user base
- Bash/Python scripting skills
- MySQL database experience
- SharePoint administration
- VMWare/Horizon administration
- Enterprise storage experience
