Technical Support Analyst Full time, Permanent, Newark-on-Trent £24,000 - £29,000 per annum

Our global client, based in Newark, Nottinghamshire are seeking a Technical Support Analyst to provide and co-ordinate support for all IT infrastructure and systems within their business throughout Europe.

THE ROLE

The successful Technical Support Analyst will protect, maintain and support development of specified IT systems to contribute to the business needs and support the continual deployment and migration of End User Workstations throughout Europe. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining Windows Updates and deployment process
  • Maintaining Windows 11 support following deployment process
  • Rolling out new hardware, installing printers and peripheral devices
  • All work to be documented to the current Departmental standards and stored on IMS
  • Provide and assist with the provision of a timely fault resolution service for specified IS systems to correct system faults
  • Provide second level support for all infrastructure and technical systems including daytime helpdesk support
  • Liaise with other ICT colleagues where appropriate for the project within Europe

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Technical Support Analyst must be prepared to travel within the UK & Europe and will have excellent problem solving skills, customer relations skills as well as the following experience:

  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical customers and at all levels via excellent presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, tenacity, persuasion, negotiation, assertiveness, numerate & analytical
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment
  • Ability to work on own initiative when required but able to adapt to working as part of a team
  • Knowledge of Windows, Windows Server systems and Active Directory
  • Knowledge of computer network & data security
  • Knowledge about business processes/systems (ERP, MRP) would be advantage
  • 2 Years of Information Systems infrastructure experience within a multi-sited organisation
  • 2 Years of Microsoft systems experience
  • 1 Years of the Microsoft Office suite experience
  • Experience in software asset management would be valuable advantage
