Long-Term Teachers is working with an incredible provision for young people in secondary school who present challenging behaviour. Coming from a range of backgrounds, the students you will be working with have additional needs including high-functioning autism and ADHD.

Your daily duties would include providing classroom support to students, sometimes on a 1:1 basis dependent on need. You will help students stay focused and engaged in their learning but also, allow students time to regulate themselves if needed. You will also be responsible for supervision outside of the classroom, including break times or extracurricular activities.

11-16 special school with over 100 students
Focus on supporting student with predominant needs associated with autism and ADHD
Close knit team who work relentlessly to support each other as well as the students
Based across 2 sites
Purpose built nurture facility
Earlier school day to suit the needs of the students
Small class sizes (maximum of 10 students)
High staff to student ratio

You will be required to work 8am - 3pm, Monday to Friday during term-time only. You will be well supported and will receive regular opportunities for professional development. You must be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle.
